Sculpture Workshop

Purpose

  • To consider fiber & textiles as a sculptural medium

  • To contemplate the conceptual & sustainable attributes of using repurposed materials.

  • To explore suggestion and abstraction.

Tasks

  1. Deconstruction (scissors, seam rippers, etc.)

  2. Reconstruction (pinning, sewing, etc.): assemblage, hand building and manipulation, “collage”

  3. Embellishment (embroidery, beads, etc.)

Criteria

  • Explore the above “purpose”

  • Maybe make a small sculpture 😊
