Fawn

The Fawn series uses composite forms derived from reconfigured textiles to examine domestic relationships. Fawn refers to one still un-weaned or retaining a distinctive baby coat. The anthropomorphic figures scrutinize the interdependent, maternal, and gender specific role of partner and mother. The armatures use dried gourds, whose form is symbolic of fertility, sexuality and relationships in a variety of cultures.
